Sakura was a normal Japanese girl before she was suddenly imbued with the power of the Clow Cards. However, even such a life-altering thing didn't change her personality in the slightest!
Sakura is a friendly and charming girl. It is easy for her to get along with most everyone that she meets. She has a very cheerful demeanor and is always smiling (with exceptions, of course!). Even on days when she is running late to class (as usual), the moment she arrives on time she is always full of smiles and happy to see her friends. In fact, she's always happy to see anyone, even if you've only just met! She is usually a very dreamy girl, and sometimes gets so lost in her own head that she loses concentration on what she is doing. Example, she usually is at cheerleading practice and drops the baton on her head! She can also be incredibly excitable, usually overreacting and shouting her exclamation: "Hooooeeee!!!"
Being only 13 years old, Sakura is still very naive, despite the hardships she has had with the Clow Cards. She will always assume the best of everyone, even if they have done wrong in the past. She does not believe that people can't change for the better, and has a hard time thinking that someone could be inherently stuck to their misdeeds.
She has learned a lot about relationships in the past few years since becoming a cardcaptor. Her best friend (and cousin) is Tomoyo, so she loves with all of her heart and would do anything for. On more than one occasion, if Tomoyo was in danger, she would put her duties as cardcaptor second and friend first. She also shares a very good relationship with her kind father Fujitaka, and even with her older brother Touya, though he picks on her quite a bit and tends to rile her up. She can be a spitfire when messed with!
She has begun to develop an inkling of feelings for her fellow cardcaptor Li Syaoran, but this is only in the early stages of development at this point, so anything could change. She is only starting to realize she may have feelings for him as she had only recently professed that she loved her brother's friend Yukito, only to be turned down as he stated he loved someone else. This left her very heartbroken, and currently is in the process of healing her own heart.
Sakura can easily be seen as very determined. She puts all her effort into anything she does, whether it is something as important as catching Clow Cards or simple like trying to make pancakes (really, it's the only thing she can make!). She doesn't give up, no matter how hard something is, even if she fails over and over again. She sometimes can get discouraged, but always finds it in her to try again.
Sakura also has a phrase that people call her "invincible spell": "Zettai daijōbu da yo", which translates into "Everything will surely be all right". She is a believer that if one tries hard enough, everything can turn out okay. She is seen saying this many times, and usually raises her morale and the morale of people around her.
Despite being incredibly athletic and a so-called "jock", Sakura is definitely a girly-girl. Her favorite colors are pink and white. She loved to wear beautiful and girly clothes, even if she sometimes seems exasperated that Tomoyo had yet again come up with some elaborate outfit for her to wear. She has many accessories such as a pink cellphone, pink roller blades, brooches, and teddy bears that are all very cute, and is attracted to things that are pretty. She is also on the cheerleading squad at her school and is one of the best cheerleaders, as she is considered the best athlete in the school (and she states it's because her entire family is athletic).
Even with all of her happiness, Sakura can buckle down and be serious. Usually when she is working with the Clow Cards (technically now Sakura Cards), she puts aside her dreamy and silly demeanor and leaps into action. She can be a very quick thinker when she applies herself and is very action-oriented. She is able to keep up with all of the magical happenings around her, and while in action her wit and athleticism never fail her.
She has experienced very heavy emotions as well. She is well-aware of the death of her mother and how it has affected her father. She has also had her heart broken and is currently getting over it, though she is happy that her love has someone ans did wish him the best. She has also had to deal with some of the tragedies the Clow cards brought with them before she was able to capture them. Even if she can't always grasp what is going on (mainly due to her age), she does her best to try to understand and be as empathetic as possible.
Above all else, while Sakura daylights as a normal teenage girl, she moonlights as the one and only Cardcaptor Sakura, Master of the Clow!
Abilities: Sakura is incredibly athletic. It is constantly shown that she is a fast runner and can do flips and cartwheels and handstands, as she is a cheerleader. She has also used these abilities to perform amazing feats during her battles as a cardcaptor.

Persephone! She'd read about her in class! Everyone knew her! A beautiful goddess of spring and married to--
"HOOOOOOOEEEEEEEE?!?!?!" Yet another cry of exclamation, and her hands slammed up to her cheeks, cheeks and ears flaming to hot and red she swore she must have turned into a chili pepper. Married! SHE WAS MARRIED NOW?! SHE WAS ONLY TWELVE! Well, her mother had only been in highschool when she was married so--NO THIS WAS DIFFERENT! She was too young! And she never met the guy!
Sakura shook her head vigorously from side to side, short honey-brown hair swatting against her cheeks with every toss of the head. No no no, this couldn't be. She was just--
"I'm just a cardcaptor!" As if being Master of the Clow Cards wasn't enough already! Now she had to add being a goddess into the mix? What about school? What about Tomoyo, back at home? her father and her brother Touya? And Kero? And Li? Didn't she have enough responsibility already? She felt as if she was about to faint, and a hand came up to her forehead. Was she feverish? "I can't handle this....!"
...Could she? Well...
And Sakura lowered her hand down from her head. She let out a heavy sigh.
